Lance Armstrong announced that his Livestrong organization is donating $250,000 to the earthquake relief effort in Haiti. "Haiti didn't need another problem added to the political turmoil and the poverty," Lance said. "The global community has to step up." The Livestrong pledge will go to Partners in Health and Doctors Without Borders, he said, because "both groups have a strong presence in the region and have the ability to make an immediate difference in the rescue and recovery efforts."
